Louise Redknapp: Don't call me a WAG

She's a footballer's wife - but that's not all

The WAG title doesn't sit comfortably with Louise Redknapp.

She found success as a singer with girl band Eternal before she met footballer husband Jamie and hasn't stopped working since they married in 1998.

Louise isn't interested in a life of endless shopping with her other half's credit card.

'After two and a half million album sales, I wasn't about to let all that go to waste,' she tells The Times.

'I won't knock the other wives because they're all nice girls, but I'd done so much prior to the whole WAG thing and I wanted still to be recognised for that.'

As well as her singing career, Louise publishes a magazine called Icon, aimed at footballers, and is a presenter on The Clothes Show.
