Geri Halliwell begged Victoria Beckham for forgiveness

She apologised to Posh for leaving Spice Girls in 1998

Geri Halliwell had trouble convincing Victoria Beckham to commit to the Spice Girls reunion.

Posh, 33, is said to have still been fuming at Geri for leaving the group in May 1998.

So Ginger Spice had to rebuild her friendship with Vicky before getting the other girls on board.

‘Geri began getting in contact with Victoria again in 2004,’ a source tells The Sun.

‘She knew how hurt Victoria was but she also knew how to push the right buttons.

‘Geri broke down in front of Victoria, apologised for leaving the band in the way she did and begged for her forgiveness.’

Fortunately for Spice Girl fans, the girls made up and now are preparing for their 11-date farewell tour.
