Jennifer Lopez: Don't call me J-Lo

She doesn’t want to be seen as a diva

Singer Jennifer Lopez is J-Lo no more – she’s dumped her stage name in a bid to lose her reputation as a diva.

The 37-year-old says her alter-ego was meant to be fun but got out of control.

‘That’s all gone with the ridiculous stories about me throwing tantrums and insisting on Egyptian sheets,’ she says. ‘That’s all firmly in my past.’

And the new Jen wants to be taken more seriously by opting for more challenging roles.

‘If you focus on the money you’re not going to get anywhere,’ she tells The Sun. ‘If money is your motivation you’re going to be such an empty shallow person.’
