Rod Stewart in freak fall

Rocker topples over at gig and injures his leg

Rod Stewart had to have 10 stitches in his leg after falling over at the City of Manchester Stadium on Thursday night.

He was injured after losing his footing on a wet, slippery metal step while making his entrance on stage.

Rod, 62, didn't want to disappoint the waiting audience so was treated by doctors after the show.

The veteran rocker will be fit to appear at Prince William and Harry's Concert For Diana tomorrow at Wembley Stadium.
