So, what to make of Katie Hopkins, queen bitch of The Apprentice, in her 80s power suits and 70s trolley dolly blue eyeshadow?

'There are people who go: "Argh! We hate Katie Hopkins, the pantomime villain. Boo, hiss!" And there are those who say that, without me, the show would've been bland,' says Katie, 32.

On The Apprentice, she said that Kristina Grimes, 36, was 'too orange to be taken seriously' and wished car salesman Adam Hosker, 27, would get 'run over' or go back 'to the North and his Northern chums, where I do feel he rather belongs.'

Sir Alan branded Katie 'unemployable' and her image as a panto villain raises the question: has she wrecked her career?

'Unemployable is an outrageous thing to say about Katie Hopkins,' she says. 'People have said: "She's brilliant, I'd employ her tomorrow," so I can't concur with that. Do I hear it as an opinion? Absolutely. Do I agree? Absolutely not.'
