Wednesday, 27 June 2007
Nineties Indie band The Verve are reuniting.
Richard Ashcroft, Nick McCabe, Simon Jones and Peter Salisbury, all 35, are currently recording a new album and will tour in November.
The Wigan lads are rumoured to be netting £5m for the comeback, announced yesterday.
The Verve, who enjoyed hits with Bitter Sweet Symphony and The Drugs Don’t Work, split in 1999 when guitarist Nick quit after a fall-out with frontman Richard.
But they’ll now perform two gigs each in Glasgow, Blackpool and London.
The lads told The Sun they’re ‘getting back together for the joy of the music'.
Umm, and the dosh, no doubt.
