Alex Turner forms super-group with Lil and a couple of pals
Tuesday, 26 June 2007
Not content with topping the charts with their own bands, Lily Allen and Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner are forming their very own supergroup.
The new line-up is the brainchild of 21-year-old Alex who's recruited Lily, 22, Dizzee Rascal, 21, and 24-year-old James Righton of the Klaxons.
Alex worked with Dizzee on his album Maths And English, while Lily teamed up with Dizzee on his hit Wannabe.
The three roped in James during a fancy-dress do and they've already recorded some songs.
‘It's definitely happening,' Alex tells the Daily Mirror. 'We're recording an album. It will be out before you know it.'
