Keith Urban's birthday surprise for Nicole Kidman

Singer takes break from tour for 40th celebrations

Nicole Kidman was said to be thrilled when hubby Keith Urban took a break from his US tour to visit her on set in Oz for her 40th birthday.

The country singer arrived in Sydney on Tuesday 19 June ready for Nicole's birthday the next day.

He took a private jet to Queensland's Whitsunday Coast, where Nicole is filming new movie Australia with Hugh Jackman.

'Keith brought her up the hill and they sat on a couch outside on the lawn. It was so romantic,' one source tells Australia's Daily Telegraph.

'He had planned to have a party in a mountain-top restaurant but she wanted a quiet affair. So Keith just surprised her with a fireworks display. It was a private thing with just him and her.'

The display ended with the words Happy Birthday, Nicole spelt out in fireworks.
