John Travolta: Princess Diana saved my career

Saturday Night Fever star says after they danced, he was back in demand

John Travolta has revealed that Princess Diana put him back in the spotlight after the pair strutted their stuff together.

The actor's profile was fading at the time and he'd starred in a series of flops.

But John, 53, says after his 1985 dance with the Princess of Wales was broadcast around the world, offers started to flood in again.

‘That was an amazing moment because I was having a dip in my career and no one was interested in me,’ he tells the Daily Mirror.

‘Suddenly, I was reborn. I felt like a frog who had been turned into a prince.'
