What’s the most awful job you’ve ever done?

Selling vacuum cleaners door to door when I was 17. People made me feel like absolute scum.

What’s the worst thing that anyone’s ever written about you?

Being called a ‘lumpy-lipped presenter’. I have a lump on my lip from a car crash when I was young, but I didn’t think anyone would notice.

What’s the strangest fan mail you’ve ever had?

Someone asked if they could have a photo of me smoking a cigarette with a cigarette holder. Did I do it? Funnily enough, no.

Would you ever have cosmetic surgery?

I’d never say never. I find it very odd that people are so critical about cosmetic surgery. No one thinks it’s strange to get your child’s ears pinned back if they really stick out. I’ve often thought about having a boob reduction, but as you get older it becomes less of a priority.

Would you ever go on a reality TV show?

It’s unlikely. I don’t understand them – they’re like a joke I don’t get. I have better things to do, like wash my hair.

What do you think is the biggest misconception about you?

That I’m really bossy. Mostly, I’m nowhere near as hard hitting as I come across on TV.
