Heiress tells of her ordeal in first interview since leaving prison

Paris Hilton has revealed she was hysterical during her first night in prison .

The Simple Life star, 26, curled up in a foetal position and cried herself to sleep.

‘I was basically in hysterics,’ she says.

‘The doctors were observing me and said they thought I was having severe anxiety, panic attacks and claustrophobia.’

The heiress explains how she got through her ordeal with the help of other prisoners.

‘All the inmates were very supportive,’ she tells People magazine. ‘There were girls next to me. We could talk through the vents and they were just really sweet.’

Paris, who was released on Monday, has also slammed critics who say she’ll be back to her partying ways.

‘They’re wrong and they don’t know me,' she insists. 'I’m a good person.’
