Mel C confirms Spice Girls reunion

The rumours are turning into a real project

Mel C has given the green light to a Spice Girls reunion later this year. The artist formerly known as Sporty will hit the stage with Posh, Mel B, Emma and Geri to belt out hits like Wannabe.

'For the first time ever, there is some truth in the rumours... it could happen,' Mel tells the BBC. 'People have been talking about it and some of the girls have expressed an interest in doing it.'

Amid speculation that Mel, 33, was the least keen of the group, the star has insisted that she will definitely get involved in the project.

'I don't want to be the person that stops it happening or stops it being a five-piece,' she says.

To coincide with the release of their Greatest Hits album, the Spices are reportedly planning gigs in London, Tokyo and Las Vegas.
