John Travolta: My family are like the Munsters

Actor has a novel way of dodging paparazzi

Grease star John Travolta has revealed he avoids photographers by staying up all night and sleeping through half of the day.

The 53-year-old says his whole family have adopted unusual sleeping habits – just like the fictitious TV family the Munsters - to maintain their privacy.

‘We’re like the Addams Family or the Munsters, living sort of an odd, nocturnal life,’ he told US magazine Parade in a 2am interview.

John and wife Kelly Preston, 44, have two kids, 15-year-old Jett and Ella, seven.

‘My kids probably stay up too late,' he admits. 'My wife goes to bed around three, and I follow around seven.’

The Travoltas had better watch out - everyone needs some sunshine to boost their Vitamin D.
