John Terry & Toni Poole become man and wife tomorrow

Theirs is the first and biggest of the four WAG weddings this weekend...

Childhood sweethearts John and Toni will marry in a Surrey mansion.

When: 15 June.

Where: A stately home near the Chelsea and England captain’s £2.5 million mansion in Oxshott, Surrey.

Guest list: This will be the biggest of all four weddings, so expect a roll call of football stars, WAGs and celebrities, including Frank Lampard and his pregnant wife to-be Elen Rives and also Joe Cole and fiancée Carly Zucker.

By having the celebration the day before everyone else, the couple have wisely avoided causing the football’s elite any embarrassment by having to choose between four teammates’ weddings. Hotly tipped as John’s best man is his big brother, Yeovil footballer Paul Terry, 28.

Wedding planner: Peregrine Armstrong-Jones (half-brother of Lord Snowdon), who planned Posh and Becks’ nuptials.

The dress: Expect Toni, 24, to walk down the aisle in something elegant such as Vera Wang. Her beautician training will ensure that she looks flawless.

Gossip: Eighties crooner Lionel Richie’s been asked to perform at the reception.

How it all started: John and Toni are Essex childhood sweethearts who grew up in neighbouring Barking and Dagenham. She supported him financially when he was
a Chelsea trainee, but it soon paid off and when his career took off, she was able to give up her job as a beautician.

Their relationship has had its ups and downs – a number of women have sold kiss’n’tell stories about John, all of which he’s denied. But Toni, who likes to maintain a low profile, has stood by him and it would appear that they’re a perfect match – just last week, she was able to calm him down after a fellow clubber threw a drink at him.

Ignoring John’s rant, she flipped open her mobile and showed him a photo of him cuddling their one-year-old twins Georgie and Summer. ‘Babe, let’s just go home,’ she purred, which is exactly what they did. Aww.
