Jayne Middlemiss livid when TV prank went wrong

Love Island star was trapped in a lift

TV presenter Jayne Middlemiss was trapped in a lift for 20 minutes when a TV prank backfired.

Jayne, who suffers from extreme claustrophobia, was stuck with only a crazy musician for company when a stunt for Rio Ferdinand’s new ITV series All-Star Wind-Ups got out of hand.

The Love Island star, 36, was so traumatised by her ordeal that she collapsed.

‘Jayne had a panic attack and passed out in the lift because the musician ignored her screams and just kept singing,’ a source tells The Daily Mirror.

‘It was traumatic and left her badly shaken.’

Fortunately, for Rio, 28, he wasn’t at London’s Plaza Hotel where filming was taking place – so he escaped Jayne’s fiery outburst.

‘Jayne was livid,’ says the source. ‘When she realised she’d been tricked she screamed: “Why the f*** did he do that? It was f***ing out of order. Wait till I get my hands on Rio.”’

The footage has been scrapped and will not appear on the show which is due to hit our screens later this year.
