House star says he’s too tired to hide his feelings

Actor Hugh Laurie has revealed he’s given up late-night card games because his hefty filming schedule leaves him too tired to maintain a convincing poker face.
The Golden Globe-winning actor, 48, says that it takes so much concentration to prepare for his role as Doctor Gregory House in hit US drama House, his gaming skills have nosedived.
‘I make mistakes playing when I’m tired and then go to bed cursing myself,’ Hugh tells the Daily Express. ‘The good poker players are the ones that outlast everyone but I’ve had to give up because I wilt at the end of the day.
'Playing this part does actually involve more than just reading the lines out. It involves knowing how your character will move and how he will hold his coffee cup.’
