Amy Winehouse seems to be feeling the pressure of her hubby’s recent arrest - she avoided Blake Fielder-Civil’s court hearing today.
But the singer's mum-in-law did attend. She revealed that Amy, 24 - who is getting support from Pete Doherty - is ‘devastated’.
‘She is so upset and keeps saying she can't be without Blake,’ says Georgette Fielder-Civil.
The brief hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court postponed Blake’s trial for GBH until later this month following fresh allegations that he attempted to pervert the course of justice.
Blake, 26, is said to have grinned throughout the 15-minute hearing and also mouthed ‘I'm all right’ and ‘I love you’ to his teary mother.
Amy’s dad Mitch, 57, spoke of the difficult time the family is going through.
‘Clearly, this is very serious,’ he tells the Daily Mail. ‘Despite what has been said I have no wish for Blake to go to prison.
'I am upset and so are the rest of my family.
‘Georgette and Giles - Blake's parents - and my family are standing right behind our children and will make sure they get all the help, love and support they need.'
Blake is due back in court on 23 November for a preliminary hearing on both charges of GBH and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
