Charlotte Church defends Britney Spears' boozing

Party-girl Chaz will celebrate her baby's birth by getting hammered

Pregnant Charlotte Church insists she'll celebrate giving birth by going on an almighty bender.

The Welsh singer, 21, is expecting her first child with rugby hunk Gavin Henson, 25, in September and is sticking to non-alcoholic drinks until the birth.

Speaking at the glitzy Glamour Women Awards, where she was named TV Personality Of The Year, Shaz declared: 'I am really f***ing sober. I want you all to get drunk, and have a few drinks for me, you b******s.'

Chaz also took the opportunity to vent off against people who criticise young party animal mums like Britney Spears, 25.

'If you're a woman, you're supposed to stay sober until your kids grow up,' she tells the Daily Star. 'That's not fair. Just because Britney had the odd night out on the lash doesn't make her a bad mum.

'She's still allowed to have a good time every now again. It would be different if it was every night.'
