Not that desperate

God, I'm loving the latest series of Desperate Housewives. The will they/won't they of Gabby and Carlos, Orson's psycho ex wife back from the dead but most of all, Lynette. She is definitely the star of the show.

When hubbie Tom refused to let her attend the launch party of his new pizza restaurant and then fancied a bit of nookie, Lynnette stormed off saying, 'Well you banned me from your opening!' Priceless.

Aaanyway, as you can probably tell from the fact that I know what happened in DH, my invitation to Elton John's 60th birthday party clearly got lost in the post (although I've managed to find out a few secrets about what went on – read all about it and see some hilarious pictures in next Tuesday's mag).

If ever there is a star-studded soiree that it is not advisable to gatecrash, it's one being hosted by Sir Elt.

Security is tighter than Rod Stewart's purse strings and any interlopers are ejected faster than you can wail, 'ButIjustwanttodancetotheCrocodileRock!'

Sometimes it's just safer to stick to the safety of your sofa.
