Hugh Grant: I shouldn't be single at 46

Actor says his age is a worry

Hugh Grant

Hugh Grant has admitted he's increasingly concerned about being single as time goes on.

The Notting Hill star, whose three-year relationship with Jemima Khan ended in February, says he wants to get married - but is still terrified of commitment.

'It's true that my age sometimes worries me,' he admits. 'Each birthday is an almost unpleasant date. I told myself that being single in your thirties is fine. But at 46 it’s a bit worrying.

'I would like to get married but at the same time I’m horrified by those couples that I see around me and the lack of affection and passion that can result from the passing of time.'

The actor also revealed that he's just as interested in other stars' love-lives as we are.

'I understand where the interest comes from,' he tells the Sunday Telegraph. 'When I think about actors, I prefer to know who they’re going to bed with than what their next film will be.'
