Gillian Anderson: I'm in love with a car wheel-clamping boss

Actress says she'd never marry an actor

Former X Files star Gillian Anderson has found love with the owner of a car wheel-clamping firm.

The flame-haired actress, 38, who's been married twice, fell for Mark Griffiths, 35, last year, and they had a son, Oscar, in November.

'He is one of the kindest people I have ever met,' she says. 'He has a very good head on his shoulders, and I think that part of me was ready to be grounded.

'It sometimes almost feels as if my life is flying by, and I feel that I need to stop and appreciate what is going on. I think, with him, I have found a way to do that.'

She met her 'down-to-earth' fella though mutual friends and says the fact he has nothing to do with the film industry 'helps'.

After a doomed affair with her X Files co-star David Duchovny, Gillian's obviously had enough of actors.

'I've dated them, but I'd never marry one,' she tells Weekend magazine. 'Too much baggage.'
