Eva Longoria changes 18 times for the ALMAs

Actress dazzles with a whole wardrobe of dresses

Eva Longoria really is a fabulous hostess.

The Desperate Housewives turned on a sizzling salsa dance for the opening act of the ALMA Awards - and then made a whopping EIGHTEEN costume changes while hosting the event.

Before wowing the crowd with a range of different evening gowns, the 31-year-old donned a skimpy red sequinned number for a flashy dance routine with Mario Lopez, who competed in the US competition Dancing With The Stars last year.

But rehearsals for the salsa number didn't prove easy. 'My back is sore, Mario stepped on my feet – we really beat each other up!' Eva told People.

The ALMA Awards celebrate artistic excellence through the outstanding achievements of Latinos in motion pictures, television, and music. Other presenters on the night included Jessica Alba and Andy Garcia.

Bet they weren't as well-dressed as our Eva.
