What they want, what they really, really want is Wembley Stadium

Geri Halliwell is said to have persuaded Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Melanie Chisholm and Melanie Brown that it's time to get back on stage together.

The group was formed in 1994, Ginger quit in May 1998 but the other four Spice Girls continued until 2001. Now, with the revived career of Take That, it's claimed Geri, 34, reckons they should get back on the road.

First the girls, who have already sold over 53 million records, will release a greatest hits album for Christmas to test the water, then they'll start sorting out venues.

'All the girls are really excited about being back,' a source tells The News Of The World. 'They'll play a few massive shows at places like Wembley Stadium and then call it quits.'
