Paul McCartney: I'm going through great struggles

But family provides light at the end of the tunnel

Paul McCartney has revealed he's feeling the effects of his bitter divorce from Heather Mills - but his children are helping him cope.

Macca, 64, married Heather, 39, in 2002, only to split four years later in May 2006.

'I'm going through great struggles, but I'm feeling pretty good,' he says. 'I have a lot of good support, particularly from my family.

'In difficult moments like this, it's when a loving family shines through. We're close anyway, but difficult times bring you closer together.'

So he's not out of the bad times just yet?

'Oh no. Noooooh,' he tells The Guardian Weekend. 'I'm not at all. But, you know, there is a tunnel, and there is a light and I will get there.

'I look at the positive's that have come out of it - and the real positive is my beautiful baby daughter (Beatrice, three).'
