Gemma Atkinson named the face of Formula 1

Cristiano's girl will be at Silverstone in July…

Ex-Hollyoaks star and model Gemma Atkinson has been named the Female Face of the Santander British Grand Prix.

Modelling with one of the high performance cars at the official photo shoot on 24 May gave 22-year-old Gem the chance to take her clothes off – again.

‘I’m a huge F1 fan. So the opportunity to be part of the British Grand Prix is fantastic for me,’ she says

And she'll be going to Silverstone on 8 July for the first time this year to watch lots of blokes racing round a track creating polluting fumes to kill off the planet.

Then one of them will squirt a magnum of champagne all over the others in some weird 'I've got a big one' ritual.

Gemma's really looking forward to it.

‘I’ve never been before but I’ve heard that the atmosphere is amazing,' she says. 'To experience the sheer noise and power of the cars will be unbelievable.

'I'll be able to wish all the British drivers good luck in person.’

Whatever. We'd rather be giving Cristiano a relaxing massage at home.
