Actor builds his own eco-friendly home
Thursday, 24 May 2007
Orlando Bloom is building an eco-friendly house in the British countryside because he claims he doesn't have the money to buy a place in London.
'I was trying to buy somewhere in the capital but couldn't afford it,' the Pirates Of The Caribbean star tells the Daily Express. 'It is not the actors making money, it is the boys in the City.
'I wanted to make a green house, a place that felt safe and comfortable and out of the way. But building a house has been so stressful, it has taken double the budget - but I did make changes.'
Hmm we suspect that Orlando, 30, could well afford a London pad. Our tip? Try house-hunting in Kennington instead of Kensington.
