Ozzy Osbourne: On LSD I thought animals could talk
Rocker Ozzy Osbourne thought horses were talking to him when he took LSD.
The former Black Sabbath frontman, who battled drug and alcohol addiction for years, says he got so off his trolley he started talking to animals.
'With me, it was the longer the bus journey, the more I could get f***ed up,' he says. 'I would drink until I dropped, do coke, LSD, anything. I once tried transcendental meditation, but I got fed up and smoked a joint.
'You wouldn’t want to imagine me on LSD. There were horses in a field. They were talking to me!'
The 58-year-old says he used to get completely out of his tree - and didn't know what he was doing half the time.
'One night in Hamburg, I painted my face purple, and I didn’t realise it was indelible,' he tells the Observer Music Monthly. 'So I had to walk around Hamburg for the next three days with a purple head.'
