EastEnders, Corrie and Emmerdale fail to win big
Monday, 21 May 2007
EastEnders, Corrie and Emmerdale were all pipped at the Baftas by hospital drama Casualty.
The long-running BBC1 show was named best continuing drama at the glitzy bash at the London Palladium last night.
Other big winners included Jim Broadbent for best actor, Victoria Wood for best actess and best single drama, Jonathan Ross for best entertainment performance, The Royle Family: Queen Of Sheba for best sitcom and That Mitchell & Webb Look for best comedy programme.
Hordes of stars turned out of the event, including Emmerdale's Roxanne Pallet who wore a low-cut bright blue number.
