Apprentice favourite rumoured to quit

Is Sir Alan forced to say goodbye to his favourite candidate?

One of Sir Alan Sugar's Apprentices looks set to make a dramatic departure.

According to rumours, one of the show's finalists will bow out of the reality show, leaving him in the lurch.

The contestant - who exits just as the final two are about to be picked - is said to be one of the millionaire businessman's favourites.

'Sir Alan and the whole team were completely wrong-footed,' a source told the Sunday Mirror. 'Alan had chosen the person he believed would go on to become his winner.

'But this individual decided to quit instead. After weeks of hard work and graft, no one could have guessed this would happen.'

Fortunately the quitter's name has not been revealed so there's no way the episode can be wrecked.
