Prince toppled by female fan

Tiny singer is knocked over on stage in Camden

A gang of celebrities joined a 1,500 specially-invited audience at Camden's Koko on Thursday to see Prince perform for a hush-hush gig.

But the Purple Rain star didn't realise what he was letting himself in for when he invited a few female fans to join him on stage.

One excited woman, dressed in a skimpy black dress, lunged at her hero with lips puckered.

'As soon as this woman kissed Prince, he suddenly fell to the ground,' an eye-witness tells the Mirror. 'She grabbed his arm and started straddling him. Prince looked absolutely terrified.'

Bodyguards pulled her off but the eccentric singer left the stage and returned with a towel over his head, telling the crowd: 'I'm so ashamed. I'm so ashamed I let a total stranger kiss me.'

Yesterday a spokesman said: 'The audience member in question was thrown out. Prince loves to interact with his fans but this lady overstepped the mark.'
