Orlando Bloom: I want to settle down

Actor wants someone special to share his life with

Orlando Bloom, 30, says he can't wait for cupid's bow to strike - because he's ready to settle down.

The actor hasn't had a serious relationship - apart from a rumoured fling with Penelope Cruz - since he split with on-off girlfriend of four years, Kate Bosworth, 24.

'I'm incredibly lucky to be doing the job I do, but everything else has begun to pall,' he explains, 'the jet-setting, the nightclubs, the bachelor-lifestyle; now I want some permanence and stability.

'I feel it's about time I settled down. I'd like to live a proper family life - with a partner and kids. That's what it's all about, isn't it?'

So how come Kate didn't turn out to be Mrs Right?

'We were away from each other for long periods and that's no way to run a relationship,' he tells Weekend magazine.

'But it's also about age and timing. It would have been completely different if we'd have met later.'
