Johnny Depp: Lily-Rose has incredible strength

Actor says daughter was amazing in hospital

Johnny Depp says that the only thing that got him through his daughter's illness was her incredible strength.

Seven-year-old Lily Rose was rushed to hospital two months ago when she was struck down by potentially fatal E.coli poisoning.

Fortunately she is well on the road to recovery now, but she gave Johnny, 43, and his long-term partner Vanessa Paradis, 34, a major scare.

'What got us through this wasn't the strength of Vanessa or me but our daughter and her incredible ability to make us feel OK even though she was very unwell,' Johnny tells the Daily Mirror. 'She was super-strong.

'It was a very bumpy patch but she has come through it beautifully and unscathed and she is now as healthy as she always was. She is wonderful.'
