Gemma Atkinson to return to Hollyoaks

Actress reported to have signed £100,000 a year deal

Gemma Atkinson is to return to Hollyoaks as Lisa Hunter after signing a £100,000-a-year deal.

The lucrative contract doesn't quite match boyfriend Cristiano Ronald's £120,000 a week salary at Manchester United, but it's a lot of dosh.

The 22-year-old will be the Chester show’s highest-paid cast member, which may cause a bit of grumbling amongst her old mates.

'Gemma was an incredibly popular member of the show and it is a real scoop to get her back,' an insider tells The Daily Star Sunday.

Gemma played Lisa in the C4 soap for four years from 2001 to 2005, then left to star in the E4 spin-off In The City where her character became a high-class hooker.
