Peter Andre back on his feet again

Singer takes his first steps since meningitis nightmare

Katie Price is barely recognisable when she and husband Peter Andre turn up at the National Television Awards in London looking very sophisticated

Peter Andre took his first faltering steps in three weeks yesterday.

The singer, 34, was unsteady on his feet but was able to walk unaided to his car as he left hospital.

He admitted he was 'over the moon' to leave East Surrey Hospital in Redhill, where he was treated for suspected viral meningitis.

'When he got to the entrance, Peter insisted on walking,' a pals tells The Sun. 'It is very encouraging but he is still weak as a kitten.'

Peter was taken ill more than a week ago with a mysterious bug and his wife, glamour model Jordan [Katie Price] has been desperately worried about his condition.

A new fly-on-the-wall TV show about the couple is on hold.
