Alec Baldwin stays clear of premiere

Actor avoids screening after voicemail scandal

Alec Baldwin – who recently called his 11-year-old daughter Ireland a 'rude thoughtless little pig' in a voicemail rant – has avoided the premiere of new movie Suburban Girl in which he plays an estranged father.

Just as well really.

The audience at the screening at New York’s Tribeca Festival reportedly laughed during some of the scenes in the film.

'I knew the reaction we were going to get, and I could only hope as the movie went on, the audience would see more of Alec as the character,' Director Marc Klein reveals.

'I was really worried about the line when his daughter in the movie says: "You're a s**t father," though.'
