Daryl Hannah wants to adopt a child

But Kill Bill actress won't do an 'Angelina'

Hollywood star Daryl Hannah has said she would like to adopt a child.

But she won't follow in the footsteps of other celebs like Angelina Jolie and Madonna by adopting outside of the US.

Daryl, 36, says: 'There are more than half a million children here in the US who need to be adopted or need homes, so-called 'hard to adopt kids' because they're not babies and come from troubled backgrounds, so I think that's probably the way I'd go.'

The committed environmentalist has also revealed she's helping other stars - including Penelope Cruz and Leonardo DiCaprio – 'go green' with the help of Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas's 10-year-old daughter, Stella.

'Stella has convinced them to "green" their houses,' says Daryl, 'so I'm going to help them get solar power in their five homes and get their cars on biodiesel.'

Sounds like she's going to have her hands full.
