Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie are best pals again

Paris nowhere in sight as Lin and Nic go clubbing

In The Simple Life's fifth season, reunited best friends Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie – who healed a two-year feud in October – work as counsellors at five different camps over the course of five weeks.

The 26-year-old hotel heiress and 25-year-old daughter of Lionel Richie are best buddies again on screen but is their friendship as solid as it seems?

Nicole was out clubbing last week with old pal Lindsay Lohan, 20, and Paris was nowhere in sight.

'We've been best friends since we were two years old. I've don't have any friend I've had as long as Nicole. She's my sister,' Paris says.

Nicole reckons: 'I love spending time with her [Paris] and we have so much fun and, you know, I really just look at it as nothing but fun.'

Umm, perhaps Paris was just busy or Nic and Lin lost her phone number...we don't want fingernails drawn at dawn.

Perhaps the girls were talking about starting their own reality series. They could call it The Complicated Life.

We'd watch it.
