Victoria Beckham enjoys super Posh birthday

Becks whisks wife off to Paris for her big day

While most of us are happy if our fella even remembers it's our birthday, if you're Victoria Beckham you expect a much higher standard of surprise.

Lucky Posh was whisked off to Paris yesterday in a private jet to celebrate her 33rd birthday.

And if that wasn't enough, Becks, 31, organised private appointments at all her favourite designer shops - including Christian Louboutin, where she snapped up a pair of £1,500 made-to-measure heels.

After a hard day flexing their credit cards, the couple then enjoyed a slap-up dinner at the Guy Savoy restaurant before returning to their £6,000 a night suite at the Paris Ritz.

'Victoria thought she'd have a really low-key birthday, just going for a Chinese meal with David and their boys,' a source tells the Daily Mirror. 'But when she woke up, David asked her to get in the car - he'd already packed a bag of clothes he'd bought for her.

'She was overwhelmed to see he'd managed to get a pair of skinny white jeans from her new collection - she hadn't even had a production sample in yet, so she had no idea how he'd have managed it.'

It looks like husbands across the country will be letting out a collective groan now they know what's expected of them.
