Star said to be dating Scottish shop assistant turned songwriter

Kylie Minogue plucked unknown songwriter Calvin Harris from obscurity to help write her new album - and is now reportedly falling for the 6ft 5in Scot.

A spokesman for the tiny pop princess says: 'She has been working on some tracks with Calvin. Kylie heard stuff he'd done and liked it. Things are going well.'

But if romance is in the air, 38-year-old Kylie – who split from French boyfriend Olivier Martinez in February after four years together – had better watch out.

At 5ft 1in, she's likely to strain her neck trying to talk to dark-haired toyboy Calvin, 23, from Dumfries. Plus the fact, he says on his MySpace site: 'It's true ladies, I'm a bit of flirt'.

A source tells the News Of The World: 'Kylie and Calvin have spent loads of time together working on the album. They've struck up a very close friendship and are now an item.

'Kylie's had a tough time but has finally found happiness with Calvin... He always makes her laugh and they're a lovely couple.'
