Wedding bells for Jamie Theakston

Presenter proposes to girlfriend

Jamie Theakston is waving goodbye to his carefree playboy days and is tying the knot with girlfriend Sophie Siegle.

The 36-year-old TV presenter, who counts supermodel Erin O'Connor and actress Joely Richardson among his exes, proposed while they were on holiday in Paris.

'We are both delighted and although a date has not been set we are hoping to get married before the end of the year,' Jamie told Metro.

The couple have been together since they met at the Oscars two years ago and, according to Jamie, his mum has been nagging them to wed so she can become a granny.

'She wants to be a grandmother and I hope she doesn't have to wait too long,' he said recently. 'I wouldn't be surprised at all if I was married in two years' time.'
