Feisty Avril is prepared to fight for her lover

Avril Lavigne says she'll fight any girl who tries to steal her husband Deryck Whibley.

The Canadian singer won’t tolerate women flirting with the Sum 41 rocker and insists she's prepared to get violent if they get too close.

'If some girl was going after my man I’d punch her,' she told Top Of The Pops magazine. 'I don’t think stealing a girl’s boyfriend or husband is a nice thing to do. It’s totally mean and you shouldn’t do it. It’s wrong.'

The 22-year-old also insists she wouldn’t forgive Deryck if he cheated on her - instead she would find herself a hot new lover.

‘I would never talk to him again,' she says. 'I wouldn’t forgive and forget if he crossed the line. I think you should just make him totally jealous. Go out and get a new boyfriend right away. A better looking one!'
