Dr Who is cooler than the Fonz

David Tennant is voted top TV personality

It's nothing that us ladies didn't know already, only now it's official.

Dr Who, aka David Tennant, is the sexiest character on our screens, as voted for by TV fans.

In second place is 24's Jack Bauer, played by Kiefer Sutherland, while the Fonz, Henry Wrinkler's character in 70s sitcom Happy Days, makes it into third place in the poll run by radiotimes.com.

Colin Firth's turn as Mr Darcy in the TV adaptation of Pride And Prejudice is fourth, followed by The Cat in 80s comedy series Red Dwarf, brought to life by Danny John-Jules.

No women made it into the top 10, voted for by more than 4,000 TV fans.
