Daisy Lowe: I was told I was too fat to model

Model claims she was ditched by fashion company for being too porky

Thursday, 22 March 2007

Daisy Lowe claims she's considered too big to model.

The 17-year-old daughter of Pearl Lowe and Gavin Rossdale, has revealed she was recently dropped by a major fashion firm because of her weight.

'One jeans company invited me abroad to model their clothes before suddenly deciding they would rather have me on the front row as a "celebrity guest",' she tells the Daily Express.

'That was just an excuse. I know it was, because they thought I was too fat.

'I'm a size 8-10, which does make me big as a model. But I'm hoping to change the whole size zero debate by absolutely refusing to lose weight.'

You tell 'em, Daisy.

OMG a size 8-10 is not big but ide advise you to stop listning to people who is calling you fat their just envy and what to be that size, come on be relistic a size zero is unattractive trust me, if you just be your self and relax and show people that you can actually do some thing then nothing matters, good luck

i totally agree with you all. Models are put under redicuals pressure to be really thin - but really thin does not mean anorexic. Please don't get the two confused, because if they are really anorexic, it's not the fashion industry forcing them to be like that, they just are like that. It's not a choice they have made.

Its difficult to believe that still in this day and age MODEL AGENCIES are still under the impression that skinny = sexy. It's ugly, unhealthy and unattractive and is'nt time the agencies moved from their catwalk podiums to the high streets and studied fashion a little closer.
