Singer makes US chart history
Thursday, 22 March 2007
Amy Winehouse has become the highest debuting British female artist in the history of the US albums chart.
Her album Back To Black has stormed into the Billboard Hot 100 album chart at number 7.
It's a sensational result for the 23-year-old, who appeared on the David Letterman show in New York last week and has been praised by The Rolling Stones as an artist to watch.
Currently on tour in the US, Amy chose to celebrate her chart success by hugging her new BFF Courtney Love and – reports The Sun – turning down an invite from Bruce Willis to play at his birthday party.
All in a day's work.

Good for you Wino! Amy has really great music, and I listen to it all the time! I don't like what she's doing to herself though. Drugs are really self harming. In Britain, people ditch her music becasue of her attitude. It's good that Americans can listen to the music, and not judge her by that!

2 amazing prizes to be won!
