Ex-EastEnder says motherhood is a real eye-opener

Actress Lucy Benjamin admits that being a mum can be pretty scary.
The 36-year-old says that when her baby daughter Bessie arrived last November, she wasn't exactly sure what to do.
'The first six weeks were really hard,' she confesses. 'You just don't know what you're doing and it's all a massive learning curve.
'The biggest shock is realising that your life is devoted 100 per cent to this little bundle who needs you constantly.
'You know that's what it's going to be like before the baby arrives, but nothing prepares you for the reality.'
But, she says, the initial wobbles don't last long - and it helps when you've got a hands-on hubby like Richard Taggart, 30, who she met on a flight to Dubai.
'All of a sudden, things slot in to place,' she tells Take It Easy, 'and Richard's fantastic - he's just a natural.'
