Jamelia: Infidelity rumours rocked my world

Popstar admits she couldn't even face the school run

Jamelia has revealed how hard it was to ignore rumours that boyfriend Darren Byfield cheated on her with an old acquaintance.

Although the 26-year-old dismisses the accusations of Darren's infidelity as 'rubbish', she does admit she wasn't sure how to tackle the situation.

'You don't know how to deal with something like that until it happens, and it wasn't easy,' she explains.

'My mum, who lives in Jamaica, was like, "I'm comin' over", but I knew Darren hadn't done it, we know and trust each other.'

Jamelia, mum to Teja, six, and 18-month-old Tiani - got so upset, she avoided being seen in public for weeks.

'I didn't do the school run for a month, Darren did,' she tells Celebs On Sunday. I hated the fact everyone might be talking about me.

'Darren and I always read the papers - we're real gossipmongers - and you tend to believe what you read, so when it was us in there I was like, "Oh my God".'
