Geordie duo set to break America

Ant and Dec

Ant and Dec have been signed up to present a prime-time variety show in America.

The pair, both 31, are set to film a pilot for show Wanna Bet? later this year.

If it proves successful, it could lead to a host of well-paid presenting offers for the Geordie lads.

'Less than 24 hours ago I got off the phone with Ant and Dec,' the show's executive producer Phil Gurin said.

'They said, "We love it, this is the one." They love the tone of the show and what it can be. I was pinching myself. I can't believe it.'

As US audiences can't seem to get enough of Ant and Dec's old TV colleague Cat Deeley at the moment, it looks like the boys could be about to hit the big time.
