Posh feeds Becks lettuce so she can have a girl

Victoria said to have put David Beckham on a baby daughter diet

With four boys to look after - Brooklyn, seven, Romeo, four, 18-month-old Cruz and 31-year-old David, Victoria Beckham longs for a little girl.

And, having read that diet can have an effect on the sex of a baby, Posh, 32, is reported to be feeding David alkaline-rich food.

Caffeine, alcohol and dairy foods are out but the footballer can get stuck into white meat or fish served with steamed veg (especially asparagus and lettuce), salads, avocado and peppers.

'She has always been fascinated by diet and she likes the idea that David can take positive action to increase the chance that they will have a girl,' a source tells The Sunday Mirror.

A spokesman for the Beckhams says: 'The couple are not trying for a baby just yet.'

We'd let David eat beef in Guinness washed down with a nice red Shiraz if that's what he wanted. Making the baby bit is the best fun - never mind if the result wears pink or blue.
