Will David Gest be the new X Factor judge?

I'm A Celebrity star could be lined up to replace Louis

David Gest could be brought in to spice up The X Factor now Louis Walsh and host Kate Thornton are leaving the talent show.

Programme bosses reportedly think the I'm A Celebrity star could be the man to liven things up.

David, 53, is a big player in the music industry. He was once married to Liza Minnelli and counts Michael Jackson as one of his best friends.

'Talks are well under way and ITV chiefs think David is just what the show needs to give it a new kick,' a source tells the Daily Mirror.

'David was a real hit on I'm A Celeb so they know how popular he is. Simon Cowell wants someone who would bring fresh character to the show. David is such a character.'

He certainly sounds like a good choice to us. We reckon he'll easily be able to hold is own against the likes of Simon and Sharon Osbourne.
