Joss Stone: I'm so lonely

Singer says she can't make friends

Poor old Joss Stone...not only has living in LA left her with a very unfortunate American twang, but she doesn't have any pals there, either.

The 19-year-old claims that as hard as she tries, she just can't make any mates.

'For some reason, girls don't like me,' she says. 'In LA, straight off they are defensive, competitive. I am really lonely.'

In fact, when asked by You magazine who her best friend is, she cites Brian, her hairdresser.

But doesn't she miss gossiping with the girls?

'I do just want someone to hang out with,' admits Joss, 'but it's fine, I have Brian and my mum.'

Aww, hard work may have made her super-rich (a reputed £6 million in five years), but it's left her a right Billy no mates.
